SREE MADHVA NIDHI – Introduction

The objective of the program 'SREE MADHVA NIDHI' is to create devotional awareness about the great saint SRI SRI SRI MADHVACHARYA, his life history, and his divine works among children and the devotional public.

This is an objective test conducted every year on the occasion of the 'SREE MADHVA NAVAMI' festival.

About Sri Madhvacharya:

  • He is considered the incarnation of Lord Sri Vayu Deva and an ideal follower of Sri Sri Sri Vedavyasa Maharshi.
  • Took Sanyasa Deeksha at the young age of eight years.
  • Demonstrated divine powers from childhood—such as striking down the Manimantha Sarpa that tried to bite him.
  • Famous for eating 4,000 bananas and on another occasion 400 bananas, showcasing strength reminiscent of Bheemasena of Dwapara Yuga.

Philosophical Contributions:

  • He opposed and defeated 21 philosophies within the Hindu religion and re-established Dvaita Siddhanta.
  • Dvaita Siddhanta declares:
    • Lord Vishnu as the Supreme God
    • Vayu as Jeevottama (the foremost among souls)
  • Authored 40 monumental works
    • Dvaita philosophy
    • Epics: Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavatam
    • Devotional poojas, Sanyasa Dharma, Temple architecture, etc.
  • These works are collectively known as Sarvamoola Granthas.

Legacy:
